*This novel was given to me in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are indeed my own.*

;Recovery was fairly enjoyable! I love how the title incorporates the semicolon, I actually have a tattoo of one behind my ear because it represents that the story of your life isn’t over yet. That there is more for you to continue and see.

The reason behind my 3 stars was because I would have liked to see more of the theme represented in the title, a road of recovery. Most of the poems talked about abandonment and depression, but very few showed positivity or recovery. I would have liked to seen more of the poems structured the way the poem I quoted was, it had a certain flow and really wrapped up the whole book. At least that’s how I feel about it. But I did enjoy this read, don’t let my rating deter you as readers! It’s a very promising collection! And as a first published novel from Jasmine, I am very much impressed with her courage for publishing her raw feelings into the book community. I very much look forward to her growth as a writer in this industry!
