Synopsis;

Flux is a somber narrative, an ode to change, a collection of poetry and prose written from the many stages of grief over a broken heart.  With original illustrations by artist Katie Roberts, Orion Carloto creates a dream world for the brokenhearted and paints a whimsical picture around the themes of love, loss, solitude, depression, sex, nostalgia, and unrequited romance. Flux takes readers through a raw and sorrowful journey of each and every bitter moment of heartbreak. Forewarning, Flux is best read with a warm cup of coffee in hand.

This resonated with me so deeply.

Breakups are such a messy messy thing but Orion has taken that mess and organized it into something so relatable. I also hate using that word when describing poetry because not everyone can relate but I felt her writing to my core.

The encapsulation of the highs and lows of a romantic relationship are done so beautifully, not only that but Orion adds scanned images of things coming straight from her journal that completely describe and accentuate the feeling of this collection in its entirety.

I am just so happy to have stumbled across her book when it was up-coming on my social media, it has helped me feel a bit more validated when it came to my heartbreak. Everything about Orion and her words is so completely enticing.
