I have always wanted to share my life with my readers more intimately but I always have this voice in the back of my mind telling me that no one will care that much, and besides, what would I even talk about?
Finally, I decided to take the leap into this! I always tried to keep a journal privately and it was always an on again off again type of thing, plus it always got super negative so while trying to have a positive energy about my life now it seems like that’s something to keep away from. So I figured that I would start here where it can be a more positive energy about my everyday lifestyle.
I can’t make any promises about a weekly schedule or an update as regularly because let’s face it, life gets busy!
For those of you who are new and even if you’re an old-time reader, let me take the time to tell you more about me! My Name is McKayla, I’m 20-years-old, and I’m a Pisces. I have moved around a lot in my childhood so it’s hard to pinpoint exactly where I grew up but it’s always been in Hudson Valley NY. I have three younger siblings and I have three dogs who I love more than life itself. I currently have twelve tattoos. six piercings. I am a writer!
I am a self-published author of two poetry books, Bones in the Garden and Semicolon; BITG deals with an abusive relationship, healing, and how it all blossoms into a beautiful relationship with myself and with my current relationship. Semicolon; deals with my depression, anxiety, and the darkness I faced during my life but it also talks about how during those dark times, I found the light inside of myself and how life prevailed even when faced with obstacles.
I consider myself a spiritual person. I strongly believe in karma and in omens. I believe the universe speaks to us in so many ways.
I graduated high school in 2016 and took a break from schooling for three years. Now in 2018, I am going to college to study somewhere in the field of psychology/mental health, I haven’t really narrowed the path down just yet. But I will.
My goals for this blog are to bring you great content ranging from book reviews to lifestyle and possibly anything else in-between that I see fit! Thank you for allowing me into your chaotic day, hopefully, I’ll be seeing more of you around 🙂
